Tottenham to offer Mauricio Pochettino lucrative new deal as Real Madrid and PSG circle

TOTTENHAM reportedly want to hand Mauricio Pochettino a big-money new deal to ward off interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

The Spurs chief, 45, has caught the eye of Europe’s big guns after taking the Champions League by storm with a promising young squad.

And the Daily Mail claims Poch will be offered a bumper contract as Daniel Levy looks to keep him for the foreseeable future.

Tottenham are moving into their state-of-the-art new home next season and are hoping to usher in a new era for the club.

But losing Pochettino – who is on around £5.5million per year – would be a huge blow to their ambitions.

The Argie tactician signed his five-year contract in 2016 but has significantly increased in value since.

And with Los Blancos in particular offering an attractive alternative, Spurs know they need to act.

Speaking after the sensational comeback against Juventus, goalscorer Christian Eriksen hailed Poch.

“Of course, it’s his decision but I think what he’s building here he would like to be part of it.

“I think that’s what he showed when he signed the new deal, a long-term deal.

“Of course there will be interest from other clubs because he’s doing really well but, hopefully, he’ll stay.”
